Anyone who has a house to sell, so to speak, only has to open the door to see the offers pouring in. According to Karina Nippérus, this has ensured that brokers have become lazy and lax. By bringing the international office The Agency to the Netherlands, she puts the customer first again.
International reach
Although Nippérus has only been active with The Agency for a year, you may already know the name. The office stars in the series Million Dollar Listing and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “My daughter followed that and enjoyed it when I watched. For example, I became acquainted with the vision of founder Mauricio Umansky and saw that his working method is enormously ahead of what we are used to in the Netherlands. He just put eighty people on marketing. That appeals to me enormously, because it puts the customer first. That sounds logical, but strangely enough it is still not common. That is precisely what I do.”
Unburden
Nippérus continues: “Do people prefer to view a house after work? I get it, so I’ll arrange that then. Do sellers dread viewings? No problem: we provide a cleaning service, put the right flowers, arrange beautiful bedding, in short, unburden. ‘We sell your house like it’s our own’ is our motto. I am convinced that this approach not only leads to more satisfaction, but also to a higher yield.’
Modern approach
Nippérus has settled with her boutique office in Amsterdam’s stately Van Eeghenstraat in Oud-Zuid. A pricey place, which she can afford by delivering successes. “The world has changed enormously, so why not the brokerage? In terms of brokerage, I like to play with an incentive,” says Nippérus, who is also entrepreneurial in another area. “I have The Agency franchise license for the whole of the Netherlands and am looking for brokers who want to work for themselves, but with support from our back office in Amsterdam. People who, like me, enjoy setting the market in motion, who understand that brokers are service providers and who naturally strive for results that are rock solid.”
